Assam Police Seize Drug Consignments Worth Rs 7.5 Cr in Karbi Anglong & Sribhumi; 4 Arrested

In an ongoing war against drugs, Assam Police arrested four individuals in two separate operations conducted in Karbi Anglong and Sribhumi districts.
The Assam Police seized narcotics worth Rs 7.5 crore in total.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, sharing the news on X, praised the police’s efforts, stating: “Precision, Intelligence, Action of @assampolice.”
In the first operation, Karbi Anglong Police intercepted a vehicle and recovered 2.977 kg of morphine, valued at Rs 1.5 crore. Two drug peddlers were arrested.
In a separate operation, Sribhumi Police intercepted another vehicle and seized 1.23 kg of heroin, estimated to be worth Rs 6 crore, arresting two more traffickers.
These back-to-back successes reflect the Assam Police’s heightened intelligence and swift action in the ongoing war against narcotics in the state.
