Assam Police Pushes Back Two Bangladeshi Nationals Trying to Enter India Illegally Through Assam

The two infiltrators have been identified as Akbar Ali and Md. Apon.
Assam police on Friday pushed back two Bangladeshi nationals who were trying to enter India through Assam illegally.
Sharing the information Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma asserted that no infiltrators would be allowed to enter the state.
Taking to X, Assam CM said, “Keeping a close eye on infiltration attempts! Maintaining a strict watch along the Indo-Bangladesh border, @assampolice successfully apprehended two illegal Bangladeshi nationals and ensured their swift pushback across the border.”
The two infiltrators have been identified as Akbar Ali and Md. Apon.
“We are alert 24/7 to safeguard our borders”, Sarma added.
Earlier on February 13, CM Sarma stated that as of February 10, as many as 305 infiltrators have been apprehended in Assam and sent back over the past 7 months.
The Chief Minister also reiterated the state government’s commitment to ensuring an infiltration-free Assam
