There was no instance of poaching in the national park since April 1, 2019.

Terming the incident as unfortunate Nature Care and Tourism Education Foundation president Julin Boruah who is also known as the Rhino Man of Assam said, “There was no incident of killing of rhino for last one year. The forest department will take appropriate action. They are doing a lot. We should support them.”
