People in Assam’s Gossaigaon have protested against the electricity department. Locals of the Hatidhura area of Tamarhat protested against the power department over inflated electricity bills while alleging that newly installed smartmeters are faulty and have led to the inflated bills. Locals are now demanding that the smartmeters should be removed and their electricity bills be revised.
