Assam: NCHAC Holds Special Budget Session for 2025-26, Allocates Rs 1002 crore for Dima Hasao

The North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council conducted its Special Budget Session for the financial year 2025-26 which was held at NCHAC Session Hall in Haflong on Monday. The Budget was presented by Donpainon Thaosen, Executive Member in-charge of Finance, which allocated an amount over Rs 1,002 crore. The detailed financial plan included both receipts and expenditures of the council. Thaosen emphasized the strengthened fiscal framework, and the enhanced discretionary powers of the council, citing the Government of Assam’s continued support.
