Sensation prevails at Athiabari village in Assam’s Baksa district after two persons fell prey to mob violence.
The two persons identified as Biswajit Das and Haradhan Das were brothers and were infact notorious for their hooliganism in the area.
On Wednesday morning a mob of angry villagers gathered at the premises of their house where the mob allegedly thrashed them to death and then set fire to their house. Later, fire brigade arrived at the spot to douse the fire.
It is to be noted that the two brothers had been recently arrested and sent to jail after they were handed over to the police as the locals had got fed up of their continued hooliganism.
But recently, they both got released as authorities in many places released prisoners from prison keeping the lockdown in mind.
