Minister of state Health and family, Assam, Pijush Hazarika continues his tirade against adulterated food items in Guwahati.

The minister carried on with his series of raids in the city and today he conducted raids at the local fish market at the Lokhora Chariali locality, where huge stocks of fish imported from outside are stored.

The minister stated that if it is found out that the imported fish contain the substance of formalin, then he would stop the import of fish from Andhra Pradesh. The minister is also scheduled to hold a meeting with the food department later today.

Hazarika has been conducting a series of raids in Guwahati against adulterated food items. Earlier, the minister had conducted raids at eateries, storehouses to inspect the conditions under which food items are stored.
