Assam Lok Sabha elections 2024: CM Sarma kicks off election campaign in Majuli

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma formally kick-started the Lok Sabha election campaign in Assam today by leading a massive cycle rally in Majuli. The 15 kilometre cycle rally began at Garmur and culminates at Mohorichuk. Despite inclement weather, thousands of supporters joined in the rally. Addressing the media after the rally, the CM Sarma exuded confidence and said BJP will receive favourable results from Majuli. Meanwhile Chief Minister also took a jibe at the opposition. Chief Minister Sarma said whether the opposition remains united or separate, the results will be in favor of PM Modi.
