Assam: Kokrajhar Domino’s Manager Accused of Racial Abuse against Employee

Multiple student organisations from Assam’s Kokrajhar held protests against a manager of the Domino’s outlet in Kokrajhar for allegedly abusing his subordinates, using racial slurs and other abusive language, aimed at a particular community and women.
His alleged behaviour and abuse of power came to light after an employee of the Domino’s outlet filed an FIR against the Manager.
In the FIR, the employee accused the Manager of verbally abusing him as well as using racial slurs against his community. The employee also accused the Manager of forcing him to work overtime without extra payment.
Meanwhile, following the allegations, as many as 3 student bodies of Kokrajhar including the All Bodo Students’ Union, Bodo National Students’ Union (BONSU), and All Assam Tribal Association, protested against the manager of Domino’s outlet located on JD Road in Kokrajhar.
While speaking to the media, a leader from ABSU condemned the manager’s behavior, and said that the manager had scolded Bodo employees and used inappropriate language against them.
He also threatened action against Bodo workers.
The leader further added that the manager’s remarks were not only disrespectful, but “he is trying to harm our community’s peace and unity.”
The outlet has been closed down, and the manager has been suspended from his position.
