The anti-corruption and vigilance wing of the Assam police has arrested the Joint director of Health Services in Dhemaji while accepting bribe from a contractor.
The health official identified as Abdul Latif was caught red handed while accepting cash of Rs 12000 in cash.
The official allegedly sought Rs 18000 from the contractor for clearing bills amounting to Rs 1.80 lakh.
