Assam: Huge Quantity Of Animal Body Parts Seized From Nagaon, 3 Poachers Arrested

A huge consignment of bones, skins, claws and teeth of different endangered species of wild animals were recovered.
In a significant development, Assam Police have arrested three poachers from Nagaon district and seized a large consignment of animal body parts.
The accused, identified as Amar Hanse, Mahindra Barang, and Prabin Changmai, were caught while attempting to sell the remains of endangered species.
A huge consignment of bones, skins, claws and teeth of different endangered species of wild animals were recovered from the possession of the trio.
Authorities believe the trio was part of an illegal wildlife trade network.
Further investigations are underway to trace other links in the poaching racket.
