The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) declared the Assam Board HS Final Year Examination Results 2020 on Thursday at 9 am on its official website resultsassam.nic.in.

Abinash Kalita, a student of Anundoram Barooah Academy, Pathsala in Barpeta district  topped the Science stream with 97.2%. He obtained 486 out of total 500 marks.

Two students grabbed the first position in Arts stream with 96.2%. They are Pubali Deka from Patharighat HS School in Darrang district and Shraddha Borgohain from Ramanujan Junior College in Nagaon. Both of them secured 481 marks out of 500.

Krishna Maheswari of Salt Brook Academy of Dibrugarh has secured the first position in Commerce stream with 94.2%, securing 471 marks.

Meanwhile, Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal and education minister Himanta Biswa Sarma congratulated all the candidates who have successfully passed the Higher Secondary (HS) final year examinations.

Taking to Twitter, CM Sarbananda Sonowal wrote, “Best wishes to all my young friends who have successfully passed the Assam HS Examinations 2020 for your journey ahead. I thank the parents & teachers for their guidance and urge those who couldn’t make it this time to surge forward with renewed determination & hardwork.”

“Heartiest congratulations to all those who have passed in Assam 12th Board examination 2020. As you all enter a new phase in life, I wish you all a bright future ahead. For those who have not passed, don’t get disheartened & try again with all new spirit. God bless you all!” Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted.

The AHSEC had conducted the examination for Class 12, 2020 from February 12 to March 14 earlier this year for Science, Arts and Commerce streams.
