Assam government’s development push expedites

Transforming Assam making Northeast as the nation's 'Growth Engine' has been one of the key agenda of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
It is indeed a historic moment for Assam as the Himanta Biswa Sarma government today inked 7 Memorandum of Understandings (MoU)s with top Multinational Corporations.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma referred to the sigining of MoUs as a momentous occasion. Chief Minister highlighted that the initiative will help transform Assam according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, who wants to turn Northeast into a ‘Growth Engine’ of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Renewable energy, Skill development, tourism and hospitality sector are the key aspects of the 7 MoUs.
Under the initiative, the Assam Skill Development Mission (ASDM) signed separate MoUs with Microsoft, Google, Larsen & Toubro, Healthcare Sector Skill Council (HSSC).
