Additional forces have started coming in to Assam ahead of the publication of NRC final draft which is scheduled to be out on July 30.
Talking exclusively to Northeast Live Assam DGP Kuladhar Saikia said some companies have already arrived and are stationed in their assigned areas.
DGP Saikia further said elaborate security arrangements are being made ahead of the publication NRC final draft and the state police is geared up to deal with any situation.
The publication of the final draft of the NRC was delayed by a month after a devastating flood hit Assam. The Supreme Court had then put forward a revised deadline for completion of the task.
