The building, situated in the city’s Paltanbazar locality, houses the State Electricity Department. The fire broke out in one of the floors of the building where the head office is located. People were evacuated from the building just in time even as three fire tenders are at the spot right now battling the blazing flames. So far it is not yet clear if the fire has been completely doused. Meanwhile, the cause behind the fire remains to be ascertained.
