Assam Finance minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma has filed a Rs 100 cr defamation suit against ABP news for a news report linking him to a person he has never met.
Sarma filed the defamation suit before the Civil Judge, Senior division, Kamrup district, Guwahati.

Taking to twitter, Sarma said, ” I am outraged by a abp-news-tv news report linking me to a person whom I have never met or known in my life. abp-news-tv has defamed me in public light. I have filed a Rs 100 crore defamation suit against ABP news.
