The total number of COVID-19 cases in Assam is approaching the 3,000-mark with the addition of 69 more positive cases on Tuesday.
With 2,145 active cases, the overall tally in the state has now reached 2,937, while the death toll stands at 5.
Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “69 new #COVID19+ 13 Kamrup, 11 Jorhat, 9 Nagaon, 8 Hojai, 5 K’ganj, 5 Dhemaji, 4 L’pur, 4 G’ghat, 3 H’kandi, 3 Kamrup (R), 1 each from Cachar, Darrang, S’pur, S Salmara.”
