Assam: Constable dies after falling ill during I-Day parade rehearsal in Khanapara

Tragedy struck at the parade ground in Khanapara, Guwahati, after a constable, identified as Kukil Dutta, fell ill during the Independence Day parade rehearsal and passed away at the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).

Kukil Dutta (20) who was a part of the Assam Police Radio Organization (APRO) working as a constable in Tezpur, had come to Guwahati for the parade. But he fell ill during the proceedings and was immediately taken to GMCH for medical attention.

According to report, the constable had been grappling with severe headaches for the past five days. His condition took a tragic turn during the rehearsals.

After the post-mortem examination, the constable’s body was sent to his residence in Lakhimpur.
