The Assam Congress has issued a whip for its two MLAs Sherman Ali and Shashikanta Das. The Chief Whip of the Congress legislature party has summoned Sherman Ali to appear them today at 9:30 am and Shashikanta Das has been sumoned at 10 am.

Both the Congress MLAs have sought to appear in the second half of the day as today is the last day of the Assam legislative assembly.
However, commenting on the matter, Baghbor MLA Sherman Ali said that he would discuss with the people of his constituency and then decide whether he should stay on in the Congress or should he move ahead.

Raha Congress MLA Shashikanta Das has made it clear that he has done nothing wrong by supporting the Himanta Biswa Sarma led government in Assam. Das also said he would stick to his stand no matter what happens.
