In a major achievement in the fight against COVID-19, Assam has conducted more than 55 lakh tests from February 7 to December 8 this year, informed Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Taking to Twitter, Sarma wrote, “Assam completed 5 million (55 lakhs +) #COVID19 tests between Feb 7 to Dec 8, 2020, averaging 5 lakh (half million) tests per month.”

“My salute to our health workers and officials. Together, we are determined to fight the pandemic,” he added.
