With a mega infrastructure push featuring the new infrastructure projects, development of a better transport ecosystem, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will inaugurate as many as 3 newly constructed bridges and other development projects in Assam’s Barak valley on September 7, 2023.
Chief Minister Sarma will inaugurate three bridges over river Barak and Sonai, open a convention centre and hold a meet at Silchar’s DSA ground, said Guardian Minister of Cachar and Hailakandi districts, Jayanta Malla Baruah today.
Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah today visited the project sites and took stock of the projects.
Speaking to Northeast Live, Jayanta Malla Baruah said, a big day is in store for the people when the projects will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Earlier, CM Sarma while inaugurating the 2.6-kilometre-long Nilachal flyover in Maligaon, Guwahati said that the State government is working on war footing to enhance road infrastructure throughout the state.
The Chief Minister said that the Assam government will soon come up with as many as 21 flyovers and bridge projects across the state to improve road connectivity and ease traffic congestion.
