Assam CM Inspects Dergaon Sugar Mill Site, Plans New Development on 554 Bigha Land
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today morning visited the premises of the sugar mill at Dergaon in Golaghat district. CM Sarma visited the premises of the sugar mill that has been lying defunct since 1996. CM Sarma took a ground stock of the 554 bigha plot of the sugar mill and stated that a plan is being framed to start a new project on the plot. CM Sarma’s announcement today has brought in new hope for the locals who are hoping a new industrial project will get going soon in the area after a lull of about 30 years.
