Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma held an important meeting with a delegation of the All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU) and discussed the steps taken to expedite the implementation of the Bodo Accord.
Sharing a post on social media on Saturday, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed about his meeting with the ABSU leaders.
Sarma mentioned that the stakeholders also appreciated and recollected Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts to ensure lasting and permanent peace in the Bodo heartland.
It may be mentioned that the tripartite Bodo Accord is a peace treaty that was signed on January 27, 2020, between the Centre, the Assam Government, and the National Democratic Front of Bodoland.
In 2021, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had promised implementation of the clauses under the Bodo Agreement within two-and-a-half years.
