Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma apprises PM Modi of development initiatives in state

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital on Monday. The Chief Minister apprised him of the various developmental initiatives and how the state government has been working to scale up Assam’s development.

This was Sarma’s second meeting with the Prime Minister after assuming office in May.

“Today I called on Adarniya PM Sri @narendramodi to apprise him on how our Government has been working to steer & scale up Assam’s development journey as envisioned by him” CM Sarma tweeted.

During the meeting, CM Sarma also briefed the Prime Minister on the Bodo peace process and the state’s war against drugs. The Chief Minister also apprised him of the progress of the implementation of various central schemes.

“The Chief Minister of Assam, @himantabiswa called on PM @narendramodi,” the Prime Minister’s Office also wrote on Twitter and shared a photo of the meeting.

Earlier, the Assam Chief Minister, accompanied by BJP MPs from Assam also met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi.
