Assam CM Himanta Biswa briefs media at DGP office; around 50,000 CCTVs to be installed

In a massive move to tackle crime in Guwahati and ensure security of the residents the Assam Government is all set to install around 50,000 CCTV cameras in the city

After attending a crucial review meet at the police headquarters in Guwahati, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that CCTVs would be installed in collaboration with the public and the installation process would be complete by October. CM Sarma also informed that a legislation to this effect will also be brought in the next Assembly session.
