One of the locals, while speaking to Northeast Live, said that the villagers want to promote the area as a tourist spot. In this regard, he added that the government could build tourist spots such as a museum, resort, children’s park, and proper road connectivity along with an entry gate to attract tourists from different parts of the country as well as abroad.

He further appealed to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and local MLA Ranjit Kumar Das to look into the matter. Worth mentioning here, the people have been striving hard to retain the clean village tag. They even impose a fine of Rs 500 on anyone found using plastic bags.
