Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma was the Chief Guest at Arunachal Pradesh’s 36th Statehood day celebrations and 50 years of existence while addre the mega gathering at Yupia Stadium assured full cooperation from Assam in resolving the inter-state border issue. Dr. Sarma informed that talks on inter-state border issue will begin by April and expressed confidence that by the end of this year most of the points of differences will be taken care of.
Arunachal Pradesh’s Chief Minister Pema Khandu also spoke on the Assam-Arunachal boundary dispute on the occasion and assured to peacefully resolve the boundary issue with support from his Assam counterpart Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Attending the official function was Arunachal Governor BD Mishra Union Minister for Law and Justice Kiren Rijiju and other ministers and dignitaries from the state and the country.
