Assam announces Rs 10 cr finacial aid to flood-hit Himachal Pradesh

The aid is aimed at easing the hardships faced by the people of Himachal Pradesh due to the monsoon-related floods
In a show of solidarity towards flood and landslide ravaged Himachal Pradesh, the Assam Cabinet, on Friday decided to extend a one-time financial aid of Rs 10 crore to the state. The money would be sent from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, Assam, as part of the ‘Aapda Rahat Kosh 2023’.
The aid is aimed at easing the hardships faced by the people of Himachal Pradesh due to the monsoon-related floods. It will also support the Government of Himachal Pradesh in its efforts to provide immediate relief and rehabilitation in the areas affected by the floods.
The floods in Himachal Pradesh disrupted normal life, damaged infrastructure, and caused loss of property and lives.
