Assam: 3, Including 2 NRL Engineers, Die in Road Accident in Numaligarh

Three people – 2 Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) engineers and a contractor, lost their lives, and two others were injured in a road accident in Numaligarh in Golaghat district of Assam, on Sunday morning.

The accident occurred on National Highway 39, near Deopahar, when the vehicle they were travelling in lost control and crashed into a roadside tree.

The deceased have been identified as Devjit Bordoloi, NRL engineer who hailed from Nagaon, Partha Pratim Bangthai, also NRL engineer who hailed from Jagiroad and Birinchi Bora, a contractor from Rangbong.

As per inputs, the victims were reportedly travelling from Numaligarh towards NRL when the accident occurred.

The identities of the injured have not yet been disclosed.

Local police responded promptly, and rushed the injured to the VK NRL Hospital. They were later transferred to Guwahati for advanced treatment.
