In a big upset in the Asian Games today, the Indian Kabaddi team lost to Iran in the semi finals to miss out on a bronze medal. The Indian team lost 18-27 to Iran.

Meanwhile, in a delight to the region Manipur Wushu player, N Roshibina Devi won a bronze in the 60 Kg Sanda event. Roshibina made it to the semifinals by beating Mubashra of Pakistan 2-0 in quarterfinals and ended her campaign with a bronze medal.

15-year-old Shardul Vihan won silver in men’s double trap event in shooting to add to India’s medals’ tally.

Both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh congratulated the young athlete from Manipur on their respective twitter handles for Roshibina’s remarkable victory.
