Braving the extreme weather and terrain, health workers in Arunachal Pradesh are taking another extra step to ensure that the Covid vaccine reaches all eligible citizens in the state.

Sparsely populated, Arunachal Pradesh has lots of remotely located villages in each district.

With no motorable roads connecting this remote villages, health workers have to negotiate through thick jungles, cross raging rivers, as well as Trek Mountains.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday lauded another health worker from the state who safely transported Covid vaccines in the thick jungles of Lower Dibang Valley amidst heavy rain on foot.

“This photo says it all… Our #frontlineworker braving to ensure covid vaccines reaches all eligible citizen wherever they are. A health worker safely transports #Covid vaccine carrier box in the thick jungles of #LowerDibangValley amidst heavy rain on foot,” CM Khandu tweeted.
