A ‘Slow Loris’, also called Lajuki Bandor in Assamese has been rescued from Pasighat today.
22 year old Vijay Panyang rescued the monkey who was then handed over to a team of officers. The team comprised of Divisional Forest officer Tasang Taga and State wild life Board member Maksam Tayeng.
The monkey apparently came to Vijay Panyang’s house in the wee hours after which he was taken care of by Vijay , until he was handed over to the forest officers.
