Arunachal: Sacred Black-Necked Cranes Arrive in Tawang
The highly revered black necked cranes have started coming down its wintering site, in the land of Pangchen valley, at Zemithang in Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh. The black-necked cranes are highly revered by the Monpas, as believe the birds are the embodiment of the Sixth Dalai Lama and view them as an auspicious sign by the Monpas of West Kameng and Tawang districte.
