Arunachal: Siang Indigenous Farmers Forum (SIFF) Led Protest Over Implementation of the 12,500 Mega Watt Siang Upper Multi-Purpose Project Undeterred with the Pema Khandu led Arunachal Pradesh government adopting a hard stand on early implementation of the 12,500 mega watt Siang Upper Multi-Purpose Project on the Siang river, protests by villagers against mega dam continue in the state. Holding banners and placards, people from the Upper Siang, East Siang, and Siang districts assembled at Parong and took out a massive anti-dam protest rally to vent their anger against the government’s alleged move to conduct Pre-feasibility survey for the project by using para military forces.
