Arunachal Pradesh has reported its first COVID-19 positive case. A man who participated in the Tablighi Majaat event at Nizamuddin Markaz in Delhi has been tested positive for coronavirus.
Reportedly, the sample of the person who hails from Tezu in Lohit district, has been tested positive at the ICMR laboratory at Lahowal in Assam’s Dibrugarh district.
As per sources, the person had also attended the Tablighi Jamaat event at Nizamuddin in Delhi.
It may be mentioned that as many as 6 samples were sent for tests from Arunachal Pradesh. All 6 had attended the religious congregation in Delhi.
While 1 of the 6 samples tested positive, results of 5, more are awaited.
