Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu have tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday.
Khandu took to Twitter to reveal that he had undergone RT-PCR test and has subsequently tested positive.
“I had undergone Covid test RT-PCR and have tested positive for COVID-19. I am asymptomatic and feeling healthy,” Khandu tweeted.
Informing that he was asymptomatic and feeling healthy, the Chief Minister stated that as per the SOP and safety of others, he was self isolating and requested everyone who came in contact with him to adhere to the laid down SOPs.
“However as per SOP and safety of others, I am self isolating myself and request everyone who came in contact with me to adhere to the SOP,” he added.
Meanwhile, the state has reported 176 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, taking the overall tally to 6,297. A total of 4,531 patients have been discharged so far, while 11 succumbed to the infection.
