According to Director of Health Services Moromor Lego, the number of persons detected with JE in the East Siang district has gone up to 20. Earlier, 5 cases of the vector borne disease were reported on Monday.
As safety measures, the Tirap district administration has banned the import of pigs and piglets from the neighbouring states and districts for a month. The order will remain in force until the situation improves.
