Arunachal: NSCN-K (YA) cadre arrested in Longding

In a significant operation launched by the Khonsa Battalion of Assam Rifles in conjunction with Arunachal Pradesh police, an active Burmese cadre of NSCN-K (YA) was apprehended in Longding district.
The joint team of security forces worked on a credible input to launch the operation in the border village of Chop in Longding district.
The team apprehended the cadre, who had infiltrated from Myanmar to extort money and indulge in narcotics related activities.
The security forces, led by Assam Rifles and Police have been able to limit the activities of the proscribed group in the border districts of Tirap and Longding.
As per reports the outfits have been trying to target vulnerable sections of the society by selling narcotic based substances.
