Arunachal NCP changes candidates, President Likha Saaya to now contest from Namsai

The party announced the name of Toko Tatung Prakash for Yachuli constituency
Just 2 days after announcing a list of 8 candidates, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP)- Ajit Pawar faction today said that its Arunachal President Likha Saaya would now be contesting from Namsai instead of Yachuli constituency as was announced two days ago. The party announced the name of Toko Tatung Prakash for Yachuli constituency.
The decision was taken as people of Yachuli seat wanted a new face from the constituency, President Likha Saaya said addressing the media in Itanagar.
While Toko Tatung Prakash will face sitting BJP candidate Taba Tedir in Yachuli, Saaya will face sitting BJP candidate Chau Zingnu Namchoom in Namsai.
By announcing the candidate for Namsai, NCP-Ajit Pawar faction has announced 9 candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections.
The first list of candidates was declared by the party during a mass joining programme on Monday. The names included former MLA Likha Saaya, former minister Tapang Taloh, Loma Gollo, Nyasam Jongsam, Ngolin Boi, Aju Chije, Mongol Yomso and Salman Mongrey.
Tapang Taloh will fight from Pangin-Boleng, Aju Chije will contest from Mechukha assembly seat, Loma Gollo from Pakke Kessang, Nyasam Jongsam from Changlang North, Ngolin Boi from Namsang, Mongol Yomso from Mariyang-Geku and Salman Mongrey from Changlang South.
