Arunachal Govt Announces 2% Hike in DA and DR for State Government Employees and Pensioners, Effective Jan 1, 2025

Arunachal Govt: Pema Khandu said that the hike will benefit a wide range of individuals, including All India Services (AIS) officers.

In some good news for government employees and pensioners in Arunachal Pradesh, the state government has announced a 2% hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR), raising the rates from 53% to 55% of basic pay and pension.

The revised DA and DR will be effective from January 1, 2025.

Taking to X, Chief Minister Pema Khandu said that the hike will benefit a wide range of individuals, including All India Services (AIS) officers serving in Arunachal Pradesh, Central government employees on deputation to the state, State government employees, Pensioners and family pensioners.

As per the announcement, arrears for the period from January to April 2025 will be paid in cash, while monthly disbursements at the revised rate will begin from May 2025.

The decision will cost the government around Rs 73.22 crore over 14 months, showing its ongoing effort to support employees and provide relief from inflationary pressures.
