After the inauguration of the historic Bogibeel Bridge, Modi government’s infrastructure build-up push continues in the Northeast.
Union Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday inaugurated the 426.6m strategic bridge over the Diffo river in Arunachal Pradesh’s Lower Dibang Valley.
The Defence minister arrived at around 11 in the morning at Roing, the district headquarter of Lower Dibang Valley.
The bridge will connect Lower Dibang Valley district to Lohit district of the state and will facilitate faster induction of force multipliers, long range vectors and troops into Dibang valley.
In addition, the bridge will ease the movement of local fresh produce and people between the markets of Lower Dibang valley, Namsai and Lohit districts and give a boost to the local economy.
