After the women’s wing of Arunachal’s apex student body, All Arunachal Pradesh Students Union (AAPSU) strongly condemned the inter-state sex racket operating in Arunachal, the Arunachal civil society too has condemned the operations and demanded stern punishment for those involved.
The racket, which involved the trafficking and exploitation of many minor girls was busted in the heart of Arunachal’s capital Itanagar last week.
The Arunachal civil society said that the accused arrested in connection with the heinous crime should not be granted bail at any cost and should be given strict punishment.
It said that the status of the accused should not influence the actions taken against them. Anyone involved in this, whether they come from an influential family or not, must face severe consequences.
“Not a single accused must walk out free,” it added.
