Arunachal Cabinet gives nod to formation of two new districts

A decision was also taken to establish 4 more judicial courts in the state and the creation of 103 posts to ensure speedy justice to people
With the aim of ensuring administrative convenience, the Arunachal Cabinet on Monday gave its nod to the formation of two new districts in the state.
The new districts will be Keyi Panyor with headquarters at Yachuli and Bichom District headquartered in Napangphung.
The district of Keyi Panyor will be created by bifurcating the Lower Subansiri district and the Bichom district will be carving out from East Kameng and West Kameng districts.
With the addition of these two districts the total number of districts in the state will rise to 28.
The news was announced by Chief Minister Pema Khandu on his official X account.
“In order to ensure hassle-free access to administration, today’s Cabinet meeting gave its nod to the creation of two new districts – Keyi Panyor with HQ at Yachuli, and Bichom District headquartered in Napangphung. We’re firm in meeting our people’s aspirations and honouring commitments made to them. Always at their disposal to serve them!” Khandu wrote.

These posts include-
District and Sessions Judge- 1 post
Additional Districts and Sessions Judge- 1 post
First Class Judicial Judicial Magistrates- 6 posts
Ministerial staff- 80 posts
Contingency paid posts- 15 posts
53 additional posts were also created in the Department of Fire and Emergency Services. They include-
Station Officers- 5 posts
Sub Fire Officer- 6 posts
Head Constable Driver- 12 posts
Fireman- 30 posts
