Arunachal Assembly Poll 2024 Results: BJP crosses halfway mark, NPP leading in 8 seats, Cong in one

The current trends suggest a decisive win for the BJP, marking a pivotal moment in Arunachal Pradesh's political landscape.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is poised to sweep the Arunachal Pradesh Assembly Polls 2024 and Pema Khandu is all set to become Chief Minister for the third term.

The counting of votes for 50 of the 60 Assembly constituencies in Arunachal Pradesh is underway in 42 centres in the state.

The BJP has already won 10 seats uncontested.

As per the current trends, the BJP has crossed the halfway mark in the 60-seat assembly, solidifying its dominance. It is leading in 37 seats.

The current trends suggest a decisive win for the BJP, marking a pivotal moment in Arunachal Pradesh’s political landscape.

The National People’s Party (NPP) is leading in 8 seats, while the Congress (INC) is ahead in just one seat. Other parties and independents are leading in 7 seats.

Pema Khandu will once again be elected leader and become Chief Minister if the Assembly election results today bring in a majority for the BJP.

Polling for the 60 Assembly seats in Arunachal Pradesh was also held on April 19, simultaneously with the first phase of Lok Sabha elections.

Final results are expected later today.
