Arunachal: 30 Bn SSB organizes Amrit Kalash Yatra under ‘Meri Maati-Mera Desh’ campaign

The 30th Battalion of the Sashatra Seema Bal (SSB), Dirang today organised a Block Level Programme of Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh.
Meri Maati Mera Desh is envisaged from August 9, 2023 as a culminating event of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. It is a tribute to the Veers and Veeranganas who have made the supreme sacrifice for the country.
During the programme “Mitti” (Soil) collected from 7 villages –Senge, Dundri, Dhirme, Nyukmadung, Lubrang, Broksarthang and Lish village were handed over to the officers of Dirang block by organizing “Amrit Kalash Yatra”.
The yatra was undertaken from 30 battalion SSB to Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) office Dirang, where ADC, J T Obi, Circle Officer Nima Phunstok, and Dr. Dargey Tsering, Circle Officer of Thembang block received the “Mitti” collected by the unit on behalf of the Dirang Block.
The programme was conducted under the supervision of Upendra Kumar, Commanding Officer, 30 Battalion of SSB.
Students of Kendra Vidyalaya, Dirang and Sidharth School, Rama Camp, village head, local people, Swayansidha members and officers and officials of 30 Battalion of SSB participated in the Yatra.
