Archbishop of Shillong Arch Diocese Reverend Dominic Jala has been laid to rest at the Mary Help of Christians Cathedral in Shillong.

From Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma to other top state leaders and the common public, all gathered to pay their last respects to the departed soul.

Earlier, hundreds gathered for a Requiem Mass held last night at the Cathedral. Elaborate traffic arrangements were made for the funeral.

Bishops and priests from all over the North East and other parts of the country also attended the funeral of Reverend Dominic Jala.
