AR and Mizoram Police Seize Huge Cache of Explosives, Arrest Two Individuals

The two apprehended individuals, along with the recovered items, were handed over to the Mizoram Police for further investigation.
In a significant breakthrough, the Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the Mizoram Police, successfully seized a large cache of explosives and war-like materials, arresting two individuals in connection with the incident.
During the operation, a vehicle suspected of carrying explosive materials was stopped, and upon a thorough inspection, the team uncovered a substantial stockpile of explosives. The seized items included 9,600 gelatin sticks, 9,400 detonators, and over 1,800 meters of Cordtex, a type of detonating cord commonly used in blasting operations.
According to Mizoram Inspector General of Police (IGP) Lalbiakthanga Khiangte, the operation was launched based on precise intelligence. Acting on this specific information, the joint forces established a mobile vehicle checkpoint on the Serchhip-Thenzawl road to intercept any suspicious vehicles.
