The Tezpur District Transport Officer, Prasenjit Ghosh who was arrested by Dibrugarh Police in connection with the APSC Cash-For-Job-Scam on Monday was sent to 14-day police custody by the special court today.
6 other accused in the case who were also presented before the special court along with Prasenjit Ghosh today were subsequently sent to 14-day custody.
The 6 officials, Bornali Dei, Rituraj Gogoi, Kaushik Kalita, Joydev Mahanta, Abhishek Borbora, Satyajit Sarkar, are from among the 9 officials who were broguht by police to undergo handwriting and signature test.
Ghosh has also moved a bail plea. He was arrested by the police from the office of the Sonitpur Deputy Commissioner at a time when he was taking part in a meeting.
