The family members of Tumi Gangkak, the suspended Assistant Controller of Examinations of APPSC who was found dead on Friday (February 24) have agreed to follow the law and perform his cremation at their ancestral village today.
The development comes after a meeting with Arunachal Pradesh home minister Bamang Felix yesterday night.
Earlier the family had said that they would cremate Gangkak at the APPSC office site.
Meanwhile, authorities have detained the two Special Investigation cell (SIC) officers of Arunachal Pradesh Police for their alleged involvement in the mysterious death Tumi Gangkak.
As per inputs, the two SIC officers have been kept under interrogation, and a case has been registered against them.
Moreover, a special team will also be formed under SP Capital to fast-tracking the case.
It may be mentioned here that Gangkak was found hanging from a tree on the way to Poma village of Papum Pare District on Friday.
Tumi was under suspension for his alleged involvement in the recent APPSC paper leak case.
