APPSC fiasco: CM Khandu invites PAJSC & other stakeholders for talks tomorrow at Civil Secretariat, bats for peace

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu today invited members of the Pan Arunachal Joint Steering Committee as well as other stakeholders to discuss on the APPSC fiasco.

In a clear message aftermath the violent situation at the Itanagar capital complex today, Chief Minister Khandu said,”I want to invite members of the steering committes of the PAJSC and every other stakeholder who want to come to the Civil Secretariat at 11 AM. Whatever issues we have we will surely sit together and discuss the it again.”

Khandu added, “This government is for everyone, which is very much inclusive, which lends a patient hearing to everyone and takes everyone onboard.”

The Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister further said, “After listenning to the demands of the people, we have cancelled the appointment of the new APPSC Chairman and other members. We want that whatever issues prevail, there must be co-ordinated talks. There can be no solution if we take to the streets, resort to vandalism and clash with the security forces.”

Reacting to the series of violence in the capital city today, Khandu batted for peace and said, “I have witnessed a law and order situation in Itanagar today through social media. This is not good for the peace and tranquility of Arunachal Pradesh. I want to gurantee the people of Arunachal Pradesh.”

Reiterating his government’s stand to wipe out anomalies in the APPSC, Khandu said,”It is very unfortunate that anomalies occured in the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service commission for which there is a law and order situation. You (People of Arunachal Pradesh) know that when the paper leakage scam came to light, then itself the government has dealt with iron hands.”

Expressing concern over the matter, Chief Minister Khandu said,”We (govt) are also very much concerned about this, more than the aspirants and their parents. According to the public memorandum, there were demands for handing over the probe to a central investigating agency like CBI. Then itself the government had transferred the entire case to CBI.”
